Brahmastra, starring Alia Bhat and Ranbir Kapoor, will be released in a few days. It will be released in theaters on September 9, 2022, in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam in addition to Hindi. The movie is directed by Ayan Mukerji. Additionally, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni play significant parts in Brahmastra: Part One- Shiva. In its own movie universe named Astraverse, the movie is meant to serve as the first part of a planned trilogy.
Now, ahead of the film's premiere, Ranbir and Alia have come together for an interview in a special feature on IMDB. The Brahmastra is now a part of the actor and Alia's DNA, according to the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actor. “Brahmāstra has been part of our DNA now. It’s been five years. Ayan, Alia, and I are also really close friends, so on every occasion in our lives, if it’s a birthday, if it’s Diwali, if it’s Christmas, if it’s our marriage, we were always talking about Brahmastra". This is Ranbir and Ayan's third joint project following Wake Up Sid (2009) and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013). Ayan and Alia are working together for the very first time.
Ranbir and Alia were also interviewed regarding their knowledge of Brahmastra Part 2. The actor from Barfi said: "There are a lot of things that Ayan has hidden from us also. Big plot points because he thinks we are loudmouths and we're gonna go and tell everybody."
The development of Brahmastra took over ten years, and five years were spent on production. According to reports, it had a budget of more than Rs 400 crore, making it one of the most massively expensive Indian movies ever made. Shah Rukh Khan will also make a surprise cameo and play the part of "Vanar Astra" in the Ranbir-Alia movie.
