Buzz: Arya's Teddy to have a direct digital release on Amazon Prime Video

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, many films are opting for a direct digital release. Till now, we have seen many movies like Gulabo Sitabo, Ponmagal Vandhaal, Penguin, and Krishna and His Leela opting for a direct OTT release. Now, Arya's long-delayed Tamil movie Teddy will most likely join the list. If everything goes as planned, it may premiere directly on Amazon Prime Video.
According to the sources, the makers of Teddy are holding talks with Prime Video for the last few weeks. It seems that they have struck a deal recently. More details about the film's digital release will get announced soon. Teddy was actually supposed to hit the screens last year. However, it got delayed due to many reasons. Now, the makers do not want to hold the release for a long time and decided to opt for a digital release.
Directed by Shakti Soundar Rajan, Teddy features Arya's wife Sayyeshaa as the female lead. Sakshi Agarwal, Sathish, and Karunakaran played the other important roles in the movie. The film revolves around the story of a man and his relationship with a teddy bear. D. Imman is composing the music of it. Star producer KE Gnanvelraja is bankrolling the project under his banner Studio Green. It is the second Tamil film after Kochadaiiyaan, to use the motion capture technology. Apart from this, Arya has lined up quite a few interesting projects in Tamil.
