“By Naming The Victim On Facebook, Vijay Babu Has Publicly Broken The Law;” Mala Parvathy Raises Concerns Over Vijay Babu Rape Case

AMMA, an organization of film stars, has faced a lot of criticism for the approach taken on Vijay Babu. Vijay Babu is accused in the case of raping a young female actor. AMMA did not ask Vijay Babu, the accused in the molestation case, to resign as was done to Dileep. People including Ganesh Kumar say that this is a double justice. Now, actor Mala Parvathy says that it is important.

“The relevant thing here is not whether AMMA is a club or not. It is an allegation that Vijay Babu made money transactions and that he was with General Secretary in Dubai. Ganesh Kumar's question as to what consideration should Vijay Babu get that Dileep doesn't get is also important.

By naming the victim on Facebook, Vijay Babu has publicly broken the law. The offense is punishable by up to two years. Just seeing that is enough for the Internal Grievance Cell to intervene. They said they want action. The organization decided not to take action. Vijay Babu decided to stand aside. Later he came to the committee.

Then why was Dileep asked to resign? Ganesh Kumar says, if Mohanlal has asked for resignation on Dileep's issue, Vijay Babu should also be asked to resign. Why double justice to Dileep? The Posh Act came in 2013. Times have changed and new protection has come. It is also right that Dileep has been expelled, similarly Vijay Babu should also be kept out;” said Mala Parvathy.
