The statements made by Nandamuri Balakrishna are raising a huge debate in the Telugu film circles. The actor stated earlier today that no one has invited him to the meetings held between the Telugu film industry and the government of Telangana. When asked about the same, producer C. Kalyan said that industry shows no discrimination among actors. He added that everyone will get invited only if necessary.
Speaking to the media, Kalyan said, 'This is not a meeting for the artists. If Balakrishna garu is ready to come to the meetings, will anyone say no to him? There is no set of invitees for these meetings. Balakrishna garu always remains my hero. I have discussed the course of events with him just now. It is the producers' responsibility to seek permission to resume the film shoots. It is the job of producers. Artists and directors have no issue with this. After getting permission, we will go to actors and directors.'
'We have put Balakrishna garu in the frontline for many events. When the Telugu Desam Party was in power, we have always given him the first priority as things would have got done easily with his presence. In fact, Balakrishna garu is the first one to donate for the Corona Crisis Charity (CCC) fund. We will go to the actors when needed but there is no discrimination in the industry. I am clarifying this as I feel Balakrishna garu as my brother. I will be the first one to fight for him if someone goes against him,' he added.
