Ottapalam police registered a case against Baburaj and Vani Vishwanath for fraud. Ottapalam police registered a case based on the complaint of Riaz, a native of Thirivilwamala, that he had not returned more than three crore rupees that he had bought on the belief that film production would be profitable. According to the complaint, they received Rs 3.14 crores for the production of the film Koodasha, which was released in 2018, and did not fulfil their promise to pay this money and profit share after the release of the film.
According to the complaint, the money was paid in various stages through Ottapalam's bank account in 2017. The complainant, Riaz, first filed a complaint with the district police chief. But actor Baburaj responded that the complaint was fake and the complaint levelled against him in connection with the movie Koodasha is untrue.
"It was a film made without any remuneration or other expenses. She sent around Rs 80 lakh through the account of her resort for the purpose of shooting. Baburaj said that his wife Vani Viswanath is being dragged into this case.
The total cost of the movie Kudaasha is one crore rupees. Ask the director of the film and you will know the truth. Also, Vani's name has been dragged because it has nothing to do with my wife Vani Vishwanath. It is certain that there is a conspiracy behind this by those in the film and some people who are working against me. That's what comes with such an untrue story. If you do a Google search, you can get the details of the mystery, but now they have filed a false case, I will approach the court against it. I know those who are working behind this 2017 cases to humiliate me... One thing I can say is that even if the sky falls, I will stand by my 'stands';" said Babu Raj in response.
