E! News approached a source close to Channing Tatum to find out how he feels about Jenna Dewan’s engagement to Steve Kazer.
“Channing is very happy for Jenna and Steve's engagement. Channing has expressed that he is happy Jenna is in a good place and has moved on,” the insider revealed.
The source further added that the former couple will remain connected as they continue to co-parent their six-year-old daughter Everly.
“Jenna has a special place in [Channing's] heart since she is the mother of their child, but they have both moved on and are happy in their new relationships," the insider said. "Channing's main priority and concern is his daughter, and him and Jenna are both happy to have worked out a co-parenting agreement."
"They will be doing all kinds of family things together," the source said.
About Everly, the source said. “They want to keep her routine the same... Nothing is going to change in her life and she has two parents who will be very involved in everything she does,”
The couple had released a statement on Instagram earlier. The second half of it read. “We have lovingly chosen to separate as a couple. We fell deeply in love so many years ago and have had a magical journey together. Absolutely nothing has changed about how much we love one another, but love is a beautiful adventure that is taking us on different paths for now. There are no secrets nor salacious events at the root of our decision—just two best-friends realizing it’s time to take some space and help each other live the most joyous, fulfilled lives as possible. We are still a family and will always be loving dedicated parents to Everly. We won’t be commenting beyond this, and we thank you all in advance for respecting our family’s privacy. Sending lots of love to everyone, Chan&Jenna."
Currently, Channing is in a relationship with Jessie J.
