Rarely we see actresses turning as producers and directors in the latter part of their careers. Charmy Kaur belongs to this category. After working as a star actress for more than a decade, Charmme finally turned as a producer in 2015. She was last seen in the 2015 film Jyotilakshmi. Now, Charmy reveals that she has no plans of making a comeback into acting and is only focussing on films.
Speaking in a recent interview, Charmy said that it is for sure that she will not act anymore. She says that there are a bunch of new actors coming up every day and is waiting for a chance to prove their talents. She revealed that she wanted to announce her acting retirement during the release of Jyothilakshmi. But apparently, producer C.Kalyan stopped her. He told Charmme to stay away from acting if she doesn't want to and there is no need for a public announcement. Now, she has confirmed that she will not act on the silver screen ever again.
Charmy is currently busy as a producer. She co-owns the production company PC Connects, with director Puri Jagannath. Right now, Charmme is bankrolling Akash Puri 's Romantic and Vijay Devarakonda's untitled film. Romantic was originally supposed to release on May 31st but it got postponed indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic. On the flip side, the shooting of Vijay Deverakonda's film is in the midway of its shoot. Bollywood actress Ananya Panday is playing the female lead in it. This movie will have a pan-Indian released in 2021.
