‘Chhapaak’ first look released: Deepika transforms into an acid attack victim
The most awaited first look of the Deepika Padukone's next flick ‘Chhapaak’ has set ripples in the social media. The film unit has flagged off the first-day shoot under the direction of Meghna Gulzar, who hit to fame with ‘Raazi’.
Deepika will be essaying the role of an acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal who survived an acid attack at a very young age. Deepika has undergone a major transformation for this biographical film which is evident in the first look poster. The prosthetic makeup to transform the actress is receiving applause from the critics.
The story reportedly narrates the story of Laxmi who overcame the social stigma around the acid attack victims and rose to fame with TV show she is hosting. She is also a campaigner with Stop Acid Attacks. Bankrolled by Leena Yadav in association with Fox Star Studios the movie is all set for release on January 10, 2020.
On the note, the ‘Padmavat’ actress took to Twitter to reveal the first look. “A character that will stay with me forever...#Malti. Shoot begins today!#Chhapaak. Releasing-10th January 2020,” read her tweet.
