Chhapaak movie review: The film tackles a powerful topic with sincerity.

Chhapaak Movie Review:

Chhapaak movie bases on the life of Laxmi Agarwal who's an acid attack survivor and activist. Deepika Padukone portrays the role of Laxmi and does a fantastic job in giving justice to her character. The supporting cast has also done a brilliant job to tell the story of Laxmi.

Apart from Deepika, Vikrant Massey has made an impression in this film. In the movie Sanju, just like Vicky Kaushal had gathered all the applause, Vikrant has done something similar here. The rest of the actors in the film are newcomers; some real acid attack victims have also done fantastic work in it.

Meghna Gulzar's quality as a director is that she has kept the story realistic. The first half of the film is a little dull, but after the intermission, the events catch their pace.

The most important reason to watch this film is the fact that such stories rarely come to the silver screen and hence when they do come, we need to support the stories and the people who make it. Chhapaak brilliantly handles a very sensitive and delicate topic which needs to be watched to hear the story of acid attack survivors.
