Chinmayi Sripaada donates her eyes; promises to donate all organs in the future

Organ donation is one of the noble things to do as it can save the lives of many other people. Popular singer Chinmayi Sripaada believes in the same and decided to donate all the organs of her body. She pledged her eyes the other day and promised to donate all the organs in the future.

"20 years ago, I pledged my eyes at Rajan Eye Care when Dr. Sujata Mohan Rajan performed a Lasik surgery on my mom. Today I signed & all; renewed the contract. I’ll most probably give off my dead body to research & donate my organs when I die. No point burning this shell," tweeted Chinmayi last night. Apart from being a busy singer, Chinmayi always does her part in many social services. She is also a hardcore feminist who stands up for women's rights at any given occasion. She is probably the first film celebrity from South India who spoke about the sexual harassment that happens in the industry. It will be good if many of us can follow the path of Chinmayi. Because, after death, instead of burying or burning our mortal remains, it will be good to donate our body for research and all. Chinmayi has done a commendable job and lets us hope many follow her. On the career front, Chinmayi recently dubbed for her best friend Samantha in the film Jaanu. She also sang a couple of tracks in this soulful love drama. Apart from that, Chinmayi has also sung for the upcoming films like Marakkar and Nishabdham.
