Actor Chirag Jani has been roped in to play a negative role in director Lingusamy's upcoming film with Ram Pothineni. The film will be shot simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu. The film's shooting commenced a few months ago in Hyderabad with Ram Pothineni, Uppena fame Krithi Shetty and Nasser. Recently, there was a report doing the rounds saying that director Lingusamy yelled at Krithi Shetty for taking multiple shots for a scene. However, there has been no official confirmation regarding the same.
In an interview with The Times of India, Chirag Jani said, "It’s a very unique character, something that I haven’t played in the 13 films I’ve done so far. This one is a very rustic character, someone from the hinterlands of Tamil Nadu/Telangana. People have seen me play a handsome and suave villain in films like Kaappaan, and I’ve been trying to get out of that image and I’m excited about playing a character who is raw and rustic in a film set in the rural areas. He doesn’t talk much, but when he speaks, it will be very impactful. He is not a routine villain, but a character who has his own motivation to do what he does in the film."
