Comedian and actor Sunil Grover says laughter is the best thing to do in the times of coronavirus

Sunil Grover who got famous for portraying the role of gutthi in the famous Kapil Sharma show is now reaching for greater heights. The comedian is now back with his show Gangs of Filmistan. In a recent interview with PTI, Sunil Grover said that laughter is the best thing to do for everyone in times of coronavirus. The actor revealed that when he was contacted for the show he said yes immediately as he knows how much comedy can help people in distress.

In his interview Grover said, “It is difficult, it is a challenge to make people laugh. I immediately accepted the offer as I felt this is the right show to do in these times. Spreading laughter is something I wanted to do it from my heart.”

“Whatever I will be earning from this show I am putting that into charity. In these times, I believe people should help and support others," he added.

“This show has a different format. There are no artiste interviews in the show, but it will be a Bollywood show. The objective always is to make people laugh and entertain them. We will have a Bollywood specific comedy to be showcased by various artistes. I will be sitting as a don, appreciating and enjoying the performance,” he added.

Previously Sunil Grover promised to donate all his earnings from Gangs of Filmistan to charity. Sunil also admitted that it is difficult to work in the current times. He said, “Absolutely, it is very difficult. But rather than worrying about our challenges, we thought it’s important to make people laugh. These are tough times, everyone is tensed and if they can enjoy while watching television, nothing better than that. We want people to be entertained Monday-Friday by our show. It was the only reason I said yes to do the show.”
