Parents congratulate Kangana Ranaut on her performance for her new film Thalaivii. She added that they are confident enough for her to win the fifth National Award. The actress said this through a story on Instagram.
A special screening was held before the release of Talaivi directed by A L Vijay. Kangana Ranaut said that her father and mother saw this and congratulated her.
“Mummy Papa after watching the film #Thalaivii… said congratulations for the 5th National Award;” Kangana wrote on Instagram.
Thalaivii tells the story of the life of the late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. The film walks through Jayalalithaa's personal life and political entry from the age of sixteen. Arvind Swamy will play the lead role in the film. Apart from Tamil, the film will have its release in Hindi and Telugu.
Directed by AL Vijay, KV Vijayendra Prasad and Rajat Arora wrote the script for the film.
Kangana had recently requested the government to open theatres about the release of Thalaivii. She pointed out that the cases in Maharashtra have declined. Adding, she requested the government to open theatres to save the dying industry.
“Cases in Maharashtra have declined. Requesting Maharashtra Government to #OpenUpCinemas in Maharashtra and save the dying film industry and theatres business;” Kangana wrote on her Instagram story.
Aside from ‘Thalaivii,’ Kangana will act in the action comedy film ‘Dhaakad.' The actress has already begun filming on the film ‘Tejas,' in which she plays an air force officer. Kangana's has two new films in her kitty as well. This includes 'Manikarnika Returns: The Legend Of Didda' and the political drama 'Emergency.'
