COVID-19: Actress Hillary Heath dies of coronavirus complications

British actress Hilary Heath has passed away from complications caused by the coronavirus. The actress was 74 years old. Heath's godson took to Facebook to break the news of her sad demise.

He wrote, " We lost my wonderful Godmother Hilary Heath to COVID-19 last week. Hilary had many careers, starting out as a screen and stage actress in the 1960s and 1970s, and then re-inventing herself as a producer in the 1990s, making films like Nil by Mouth (Gary Oldman) and An Awfully Big Adventure (Hugh Grant, Alan Rickman). Her most remarkable re-invention came in her mid-60s when she won a master's degree from Oxford in psychology and became an addiction counsellor, specialising in CBT. She worked at clinics all over the world, often for free, often with very deprived and distressed individuals, and she regarded this as her most valuable work by far. She was a force of nature, and I can't bear it that she is no longer with us."

Hilary Heath debuted on the big screen in the horror film Witchfinder General in 1968. The film remains one of the actress' celebrated performances.

Hilary Heath was best known for her roles in the films Witchfinder General, The Oblong Box and Cry of the Banshee. She also appeared in 1969 hit film Two Gentlemen Sharing and starred in the Timmy Dalton adaptation of Wuthering Heights.

Health became a producer after retiring from acting. She produced films like An Awfully Big Adventure (1995) and Nil by Mouth (1997).

The famous actress also started a talent agency called Duncan Heath Associates with her husband.

She is survived by her son Daniel Heath (film composer for Big Eyes) and her daughter Laura
