The Coronavirus Pandemic has sent shock-waves across the globe. The sheer panic is overwhelming. Authorities all over the globe are trying to tackle the medial hazard, and the panic that comes with it. Recently, many celebrities have taken to social media to create awareness about the Coronavirus Pandemic. They have advised people to adhere to precautionary measures. They have also asked people not to panic.
One of the main culprits behind this mass hysteria and panic is misinformation. NEWS networks across the nation are doing their best to raise awareness. The Malayalam Film Technicians' Union, FEFKA, has come forward to do their part in tackling misinformation.
The Union will release 9 short films to raise awareness about the pandemic. The short films will be available on social media and television networks very soon. Indian Ad Filmmakers Association is also involved in this project.
Actors Mammootty, Manju Warrier, Fahadh Faasil, Mamta Mohandas, Kunjan, Anna Reshma Rajan, Muthumani, Johny Antony and others will star in these short films. Film personalities such as Sohan Seenulal, Leo Thaddeus, Arun Gopi, and Siddharth Siva are also participating. The directors of photography are Mahesh Raj, Sudheer Surendran, and Mukesh Muralidharan. Rahul Raj has composed the music, while Sooraj ES, Kapil Gopalakrishnan, and Riyas KB working on the editing aspect.
All the actors and technicians working on this project are doing so pro-bono. They are working without charging a fee. This initiative might help us tackle the crisis in an effective manner. Tackling misinformation and panic is as important as tackling the medical aspect of the crisis.
