DC Comics cancels all Comic Con appearence in the month of March amidst Coronavirus scare.

The organizers of DC Comics said that the health of its employees is of utmost concern.

DC Comics cancels all Comic Con appearence in the month of March amidst Coronavirus scare.

Now since Coronavirus has started appearing more and more frequently around the world it is severely harming various entertainment platforms. Not only is the virus affecting box office collections in China among other places it has also lead to many organizers shutting their doors.

 
DC Comics recently announced that they will not be making an appearance at the Comic-Con in March. This news came in the middle of the Coronavirus scare. The organizers said that the health of its employees is of utmost concern. In an official statement regarding the same the organizers said, "As the health and safety of our employees are always our primary concerns, DC staffers will not be attending conventions during the month of March."
 
Further on in the same conversation with the Hollywood reporter, the organizers said: "Future convention attendance will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis, factoring in the latest information from a variety of organizations, including the CDC, WHO, U.S. State Department and local health agencies."
 
The biggest among the Comic cons that are now canceled was the one set to happen at Seattle's Emerald City. Earlier Warner Bros had also announced that they will no longer be screening their new animated film, Superman: Red Sun which was set to be held on March 16 in New York.
 
Marvel on the other hand never even began with any announcements about appearing at the Comic-Con and has thus not announced any cancellations. These cancellations are ought to affect future projects by both Marvel and DC.
