Deepika Padukone is back in full swing with two films lined up for her after the pandemic outbreak. In her recent interview with a leading magazine, Deepika confirmed doing a film with Shah Rukh Khan called Pathan. As Shah Rukh was on a sabbatical after his last film Zero, this is a big announcement for his fans all across the globe. King Khan will be returning to big screens in 2021 with Pathan. "So, I immediately started with Shakun Batra’s film, which is a relationship story that we haven’t seen in Indian cinema before. Then there is Pathan, an action film with Shah Rukh Khan, next is Nag Ashwin’s multilingual film with Prabhas," said Deepika.
Adding further she said, “Then I am doing a remake of Anne Hathaway’s movie The Intern, which is so relevant in today’s times when you have the millennial and the older generation coming together. And then, the most famous story comes out of our country, Mahabharata, in which I am playing Draupadi; I want to tell that story to the world." The Intern earlier starred Rishi Kapoor but after sudden demise, the makers have announced other plans. They haven't revealed the name of the actor yet who will be starring opposite Deepika.
Apart from Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, Pathan also stars John Abraham in a pivotal role. Stay tuned with us for more latest updates on Bollywood.
