Desingh Periyasamy says he's not directing Rajinikanth's film

Director Desingh Periyasamy made his debut as a filmmaker with Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal, which released in theatres in 2020. The film featured Sulquer Salmaan, Ritu Varma, Niranjani, VJ Rakshan, and Gautham Menon in the lead roles. After watching Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal, actor Rajinikanth personally called Desingh Periyasamy and congratulated him. He also casually asked Desingh if he has a script for him. Desingh is a self-proclaimed Rajinikanth fan and one look at his display picture and social media profile will prove it.

Meanwhile, there are rumors doing the rounds that Desingh has narrated a script to Rajinikanth, which the latter was quite impressed with. It was also reported that Desingh will direct Rajinikanth's film. However, the filmmaker rubbished the rumors and said that he will update the news regarding his upcoming film soon. He wrote, "The News which is spreading about my next film is not true. Will update u soon...Thanks for the love and support. Stay Safe and Take Care (sic)." Desingh might join hands with Sivakarthikeyan for his next film.
