Nani is upbeat about his forthcoming film Jersey, which is directed by Gautham Tinnanuri. The film which marks Shraddha Srinath’s Telugu debut is all set to release worldwide on April 19.
While shooting a cricket match in which he was playing an international team, Nani injured himself. It is said that Nani was aiming for a run out and dashed on to another player where he broke his nose.
The makers decided to keep this shot in the film. The next day, Nani was back in the sets by covering the wound with make up. For the uninitiated, he essays the role of a cricketer, who is a late bloomer in his career.
Jersey is said to be loosely based on the life of former Indian cricketer Raman Lamba, who lost his life when a cricket ball hit his head. However, we are unsure whether the film Jersey will have a negative ending.
