Director Raj and DK's The family Man 2 was released on Amazon Prime Video on June 4 amid much furor from Tamils across the globe. While a section of people appreciated the series for its content, Tamilians across the globe took offense to the portrayal of Sri Lankan Tamil and the rebel group, which is based on LTTR (Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam. Samantha Akkineni dedicated her character Raji to the women who died in the unequal war. However, it looks like Samantha's Raji had some romantic scenes with co-star Shahab Ali, who played Sajid in the two seasons of the web series.
Shahab Ali told a Bollywood portal, "It is not just the intimate scenes. It was the usual process - you have a lengthy show and there is the process of editing which comes later. It was not like a particular scene was edited out We did some suggestive scenes that suggested that they fall in love towards the end. But those scenes were not making sense for the creators, or maybe the platform. So, those scenes were edited out. There are so many scenes edited out, so it is not a big deal. That is the process. I think only those scenes were retained that were required and logical. The parts that were not logical, were not kept.”
