Director Deekay, who rose to fame with his film Yaamirukka Bayamey, took to Twitter to criticize a doctor’s post, which is based on the Tamil Nadu government allowing 100 per cent occupancy in theatres. The doctor hailing from Puducherry wrote a letter to Vijay and Simbu regarding the release of their films Master and Eeswaran respectively. Both Simbu and Vijay requested the government to allow 100 per cent occupancy in theatres to release their films.
Taking to Twitter, Deekay wrote, “Wonder why the doctor never wrote a letter when all the jam-packed air-conditioned bars and clubs got opened! guess it’s easy to get ur fifteen mins of fame when u attack cinema.” Deekay is now waiting for the release of his upcoming film Kaateeri. The film was supposed to release in December, but the makers decided to postpone it fearing the second wave of Covid-19. Kaateri is tipped to be a horror film starring Vaibhav, Aathmika, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Sonam Bajwa, and Karunakaran in important roles. Deekay’s comments have received mixed reactions from the Twitter people.
