Director Omar Lulu is all set to enter Bollywood. Omar himself has announced that he will direct a Hindi film. He will remake his first film Happy Wedding to Bollywood.
Omar said that his dream of becoming a Bollywood director was going to come true. He added that the pre-production work of the film had started. Omar said the film will start shooting later this year. The cast of the film has not decided yet.
Omar Lulu’s first film ‘Happy Wedding’ was released in 2016. Shiju Whitson, Sharafuddin, Anusithara, Saubin Shahir, and Drishya played the lead roles of ‘Happy Wedding’. Earlier, reports were suggesting that the film will have a Tamil remake as well.
Meanwhile, ‘Power Star’, a Malayalam film by Omar, would start shooting next year. ‘Powerstar’ stars Babu Antony in the lead role. Baburaj, Riyaz Khan, Abu Salim, Hollywood star Louis Mandiler and Robert Parham also play other major characters.
Dennis Joseph writes the script for the film. The film also stars Kannada young actor Shreyas K Manju in the lead role. The theme of the film is the cocaine underworld in South India. 'Powerstar' will be the first Omar Lulu film to come without a heroine or songs. The locations of the film have decided as Mangalore, Kasaragod, and Kochi.
