Ever since it got officially announced that the sequel for Mr. India is under works, the team of the original film is fuming as they had no prior information on it. Mr. India's director Shekhar Kapur was quite stunned now. The senior director is also angry at the same time that how can someone make a reboot of his film without taking his permission. He is now preparing to take legal action on the makes of the reboot.
Speaking to a news daily, Shekhar Kapur said that he is in touch with the lawyers all over the world to deal with this case. He said that it is mandatory to take permission from the principal author (director) of the film to remake or make a sequel for a film. Shekhar said that it is widely followed in many countries. He stated that it not about Mr. India anymore and it is for the change in the constitutional copyright laws.
Shekhar also added that how can Boney Kapoor sells the rights without giving any information. He also reminded that Boney's father Surinder Kapoor is the producer of the film and not Boney. Shekhar Kapur also said that even Mr. India's lead actor Anil Kapoor was quite upset as the announcement got made without any prior information.
