Fans have been anticipating the cast announcement ever since it was revealed. Producer Aditya Chopra will helm Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge once more and it will be his Broadway directing debut. Yash Raj Films is making the musical Come Fall in Love - The DDLJ. The musical is based on a unique Chopra narrative. It will include lyrics written by Nell Benjamin (Legally Blonde, Mean Girls). He won the Laurence Oliver Award. Vishal Dadlani & Shekhar Ravjiani will compose the music. They have now located Raj and Simran, but they are now receiving criticism for choosing a white actor to play Raj.

 
The DDLJ musical Come Fall in Love has a western spin with Raj playing Rog (Roger Mandel). Austin Colby, an American actor, will take on the role, replacing Shah Rukh Khan. Yet, when the information was released, many fans criticized it. Because the producers chose a white actor to play Shah Rukh Khan. One of the few who expressed their unhappiness was chef Vikas Khanna.
