This Diwali turned to be more special for Megastar Chiranjeevi and his son Ram Charan as the duo scored a blockbuster recently with Syeraa Narasimha Reddy. Charan stated that the goddess Lakshmi has come home early for them in the form of Syeraa's success.
Speaking in a recent interview, Ram Charan said that Syeraa is a labour of love and many of his family members like Niharika, Sushmitha and Pawan Kalyan were part of it. He is happy by scoring second consecutive success as a producer. He thanked the audience for accepting the film even though it doesn't have any commercial attractions like love songs, forced comedy scenes and the other side scenes.
The Magadheera actor revealed that on Diwali, there will be at least 50 members in their house who get together to celebrate the festival. He stated that this time, there is a new entrant into the family, his niece Navishka, who brought more joy to the festivities in the house.
Finally, the two big wigs of the Telugu film industry are coming together for a film. They are maverick director SS Rajamouli and Superstar Mahesh Babu. The duo is all set to team up for the first time for a new film. From the past few days, it is being reported that the movie will be a period flick. However, we now hear that it will be a contemporary commercial entertainer and not a period drama.
Rajamouli's last two films Baahubali and Baahubali 2 are period dramas. His upcoming film RRR is also a period flick. Thus, people speculated that the director's next film with Mahesh will also be a period drama. However, we now hear that there is no truth in that news. The film will be a contemporary action thriller set in modern times. We also hear that it will be an espionage thriller with a lot of action elements. The shooting of this movie will go on the floors in 2022.
Currently, Rajamouli is busy with the works of RRR. Jr NTR and Ram Charan are playing the lead roles in this movie. The film will hit the screens in mid-2021. On the flip side, Mahesh recently announced his next project Sarkaru Vaari Paata. Directed by Parasuram, this movie will go on the floors only after September. Keerthy Suresh is playing the female lead in this film.
Thappad is a social drama film directed by Anubhav Sinha that features Taapsee in the leading role. The film critiques our society's outlook on married life and its 'shaadi mein sab kuch chalta hai' stance. The film received much appreciation for its social commentary. Actress and Producer Lakshmi Manchu had lots to say about the film after she watched it 2 weeks ago but couldn't bring herself to write about what she felt. 2 weeks after watching the film, Lakshmi finally wrote down what the film pushed her to reflect on and shared it with her fans. Lakshmi praised the entire team of Thappad. She also added a special mention to the film’s lead Taapsee Pannu and its director Anubhav Sinha
Lakshmi Manchu shared a photo with her message. She wrote, “I watched Thappad two weeks ago and I haven't been able to bring myself to write a note about this film. It made me question everything I was taught as an Indian woman, as a woman coming from a certain community, there were always more Don’t than Do’s. While watching Thappad I felt like each of the characters was a part of my subconscious mind and I was asking the same question myself, which each of them was asking. As soon as I finished watching it, I was empowered and so broken that it made me re-look at how I look at myself and the self-respect I have for myself and for the other people around me. I can’t thank Taapsee enough for being as bolder as she is and bringing films like these, I know her journey behind the film and power to her for putting this into Art. Anubhav Sinha Ji, you’re a master storyteller. The Dialogues, The Screenplay, and everything moved me in every part of myself, Thus a must watch the movie for Men, Women, and Children all over the World. If you haven’t seen it watch it on Prime Video. Taapsee you make me the proudest - Lakshmi Manchu.”
