Yashika Aannand has been making the headlines ever since she met with a car accident on July 25 on the East Coast Road near Mahabalipuram. Yashika along with her friends, Valichetty Bhavani, Syed, and Amir were going on the ice after attending a midnight party. Due to Overspeed, Yashika, who was driving the car, lost control and the car hit the center median. Her car toppled multiple times and fell into a roadside pit. While Yashika suffered serious injuries, Valichetty Bhavani was thrown out of the car due to the impact. Many suggest that she died on the spot while others reveal that she died while being taken to the hospital.

Yashika underwent surgery for one of her fractures and is expected to undergo a few more surgeries for her multiple fractures. Reportedly, Yashika asked her mom about how her friend Valichetty Bhavani is doing and what happened to her. Due to her condition, doctors have advised Yashika's family not to deliver any bad news to her. Following the advice, Yashika's family members said that Valichetty Bhavani is on a ventilator. As of now, a case has been registered against Yashika under two sections. It is not clear if she was booked for drunken driving.
