George Kutty's universe was introduced to us in 2013 by Superstar Mohanlal's Malayalam crime drama Drishyam. His quest was later continued in 2021 with Drishyam 2, and ever since then, moviegoers have been yearning to watch the third entry in the mega-franchise, and their wait is now over. At a recent awards ceremony, South producer Antony Perumbavoor announced the sequel. A video of the award presentation is also becoming viral on the internet.
Manobala Vijayabala, a trade expert, also tweeted "#Drishyam3 CONFIRMED by Producer Antony Perumbavoor in the Mazhavil Entertainment Awards. #Mohanlal". Drishyam told the tale of George Kutty, an ordinary Man, his wife, and their two kids, who became the subject of a police investigation after the disappearance of Varun Prabhakar, a teenage lad and the son of the Inspector-General of Police. The main character goes to a lot of effort to keep his family out of prison.
This box office hit was also remade into Hindi, with Ajay Devgn, Tabu, and Shriya Saran playing the lead characters. Additional versions of this Malayalam movie have been produced in Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu. The remaining cast and crew have not yet been revealed, but in addition to Mohanlal, Meena, Ansiba Hassan, and Esther Anil are also anticipated to reprise their roles from the original drama.
Meanwhile, Mohanlal will star as the main character in the multilingual film Vrushabha. The film, which is being directed by Nanda Kishore, is being billed as a high-octane father-son drama. It is also anticipated that the project would cover the two emotions that dominate the world—love, and revenge.
