Drug And Money Laundering; Notices From ED And NCB To Rana Dagubatti, Rakul Preet Singh And Ravi Teja

On Wednesday, August 25, the ED summoned Rakul Preet Singh, Rana Daggubati, Ravi Teja, and Puri Jagannadh, among others. This is in relation to a four-year-long drug case. In 2017, 12 Tollywood celebrities had appeared before the Special Investigation Team.

The investigation will shed more light on the 2017 drug case. According to reports, the police had received indications that the drugs were being distributed to the stars.

The ED is investigating the case in light of the evidence of money laundering. Allegations have been leveled against three actors in this case as well.

Though, "It is premature to say whether they are involved in money laundering," senior officials of the agency clarified. The stars will be only seen as witnesses until any evidence emerges against them.

ED is questioning director Puri Jagannath. The ED has summoned Rana Dagubatti, Rakul Preet, and Ravi Teja for questioning. Ravi Teja's driver Sreenivas has also received a notice asking to appear from the ED.

All three have been asked to appear on September 6, 8, and 9, respectively. Apart from them, ED has also sent notices to Charmi Kaur, Navdeep, and Mumid Khan from the film industry.
