Dulquer Salmaan Surpasses Aamir Khan And Akshay Kumar In Advance Bookings; 'Chup' Sells 1.25 Lakh Tickets

After the continual failures after the Covid period, Bollywood is relieved by the success of Brahmastra. At the same time, continuing this success is very important for Bollywood as an industry. The next major release from Bollywood is Chhup: Revenge of the Artist, which releases today. The film, featuring Dulquer Salmaan in the lead role, is something that excites the Malayalees as well. Sunny Deol plays another lead role alongside Dulquer. After the audience previews organized by the crew, there were huge comments about the film on social media. The makers are hoping that the positive word-of-mouth publicity will reflect at the box office as well. A new update is out now that doubles that expectation. It is about the advanced bookings the film gets.

Before the film's release, 1.25 lakh tickets were sold. This is the figure that came out in the evening. The figures that arrive before the first shows will be even bigger. Only a few films in recent Bollywood history have received such a positive response in advance bookings. This Dulquer Salmaan film has defeated the recently released films like Aamir Khan's Lal Singh Chaddha, Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai, Ranbeer’s Shamshera, and Akshay Kumar’s Samrat Prithviraj.

Sunny Deol plays another character in the psychological thriller genre. The film is written and directed by R. Balki. R Balki is a director who gained attention with films such as Cheeni Come, Paa, Shamitabh, Ki and Ka, and Pad Man. Balki is directing a thriller film for the first time. The director had earlier said that the film is being prepared as a tribute to Guru Dutt, who was a prominent Bollywood director and actor. The title of the film was announced on Guru Dutt's death anniversary.
