Esha Gupta slams Javed, Farhan & Zoya Akhtar for going against Kangana Ranaut, says 'how can families go against one person

After Sushant Singh Rajput's demise, the fight against nepotism has taken an ugly route where the Bollywood industry has been separated into various groups going against each other. Where Kangana Ranaut is on side of the verbal battlefield, the recent ones to go against her are the Akhtar family. Javed Akhtar, Farhan, and Zoya Akhtar collectively gave an interview to a famous news channel, where they went on to defend the industry and indirectly called out Kangana for her statements.

However, this action by the Akhtar family has made the Jannat 2 actress stunned and furious and she instantly comes out in support of Kangana. In her tweet, she wrote, "Stunned to see how families are going against one person, one human. Even though the fight is against the wrongs done to a lot of us, which has led many to be distressed n depressed. Let’s not forget, it was Gandhi Ji alone who led us towards independence. I meant- Gandhi Ji wasn’t alone. Just like now, people can gang up against her. But the movement is for all of us, she is not alone. We all are with you. It’s time to speak up." This is not the first time when Esha has decided to support the Manikarnika actress as, during Kangana's verbal battle with Taapsee Pannu, she decided to tweet in favour of her. "If history has taught us anything, it's the fact that, whenever a woman rises against authority, she’s called either crazy or bossy or difficult. It’s easier to be a part of the herd than stand against all," tweeted Esha.
