In an interview with GQ India, Pod Supply’s co-owner Anmol Singhal opened up about the business and its journey. Did you know that one of the first people to enlist with Pod Supply’s services was
Hrithik Roshan? Singhal said, “He (Hrithik) tweeted about us and then we started receiving a lot of enquiries. One of these came from Ranveer Singh. He’s been with us the longest amount of time now and we’ve been preparing and serving food through all the films you’ve seen him in and will see him in as well in the near future.”
Talking about the food service, Singhal said that “Pod Supply offers 2 lucrative healthy eating services.” First is the “Pod Supply Model, where we send you packed meals throughout the day.” The second one is the “Chef on Board Model where a chef travels with you and cooks your meals for you on set, at home, or wherever it is that you are.” He added, “In both cases, the food menus prepared keeping in my mind the clients preferences, likes, dislikes, allergies and even intolerances by our chefs and an in-house nutrition team.”
“The Chef on Board Model is one-of-its-kind in India,” he said. “We have 35 chefs as a part of this model. They travel with the clients to take care of their nutrition requirements. When Ranveer (Singh) was shooting for ‘83, our chefs travelled with him to London and now when he was shooting for Jayeshbhai Jordaar, our chefs were travelling with him as well to remote locations in Gujarat.”
“Essentially, there is no mass prep happening ever. The food that we serve cooked for one person only! And, that one dedicated chef, who is there with that one person is making sure that he’s well-versed with what his client likes or doesn’t like at any given point of the day,” he stated.
