According to a well-placed source, Sukumar has taken a cue from yesteryear blockbusters of Telugu cinema and has woven an interesting story for this film set in the backdrop of red sanders smuggling in the Seshachalam forest.
It is learnt that Pushpa is based on sibling rivalry and both Allu Arjun and Fahadh Faasil will be seen as brothers. What's more interesting is that Sukumar is contemplating revealing this crucial information in the second part of Pushpa.
Until now, we have seen several classics like Gharshana, Chatrapathi and Prasthanam among others, which showcased a tussle between half-brothers. However, in Pushpa, it appears that Sukumar has etched the story depicting a feud between two brothers played by Allu Arun and Fahadh Faasil, say reports.
The team is confident that this aspect of Pushpa is going to be one of the high points of the film. Also starring Rashmika Mandanna, Pushpa is being bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers in association with Muttamsetty Media.
The first part of Pushpa was initially scheduled to hit the screens on August 13, but the makers have shifted the release to October due to the resurgence of Covid-19. The second part, however, will start rolling early next year and is slated to release in the second half of 2022. Besides Telugu, the film will also release simultaneously in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.
The new schedule of Pushpa will commence in July and the makers have ensured that all the cast and crew be vaccinated before commencing the proceedings. Devi Sri Prasad, who earlier composed music for films like Arya, Arya 2 and Rangasthalam, is on board as the music director.
