Farhan Akhtar condemns the lynching in Palghar; hopes for swift action

Farhan Akhtar spoke out about the bob lynching that killed 3 people in Palghar. He tweeted about the attack stating that there should be no place for mob rule in our society. He hopes that justice will be served swiftly.
 
Farhan Akhtar took to Twitter to say, “Strongly condemn the violence that took the lives of 3 people in Palghar. Mob rule should have no place in our society and I hope the murderers have been arrested and that justice is delivered swiftly.” There has been a lot of concern with regards to the attack on Twitter. #Palgharmoblynching is a leading hashtag.
 
The Sky is Pink actor has been very active on social media. He recently posted a coronavirus version of his famous poem ‘Zinda Ho Tum’. He posted the poem with the caption, “So alive you are. Coronavirus.”
 
On the work front, the actor last appeared in the film The Sky is Pink opposite Priyanka Chopra. He will next appear in the film Toofan. Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, the film follows the life of a national-level boxer. Apart from Farhan Akhtar, the film also star Paresh Rawal, Isha Talwar and Mrunal Thakur. Vijay Raaz is narrating the film. Anjum Rajabali has written the film. The first poster for the film was unveiled on 30th September 2019. The film will hit the theatres on 18th September 2020.
