Fatima Sana Shaikh rose to fame with her exceptional performance in Dangal, starring Aamir Khan. She was later a part of Thugs of Hindostan, which failed to rake in the moolah. She has now signed her upcoming film, which is the Hindi remake of the Tamil hit film, Aruvi. The film, directed by Arun Prabhu Purushothaman, featured Aditi Balan. However, Fatima is yet to begin shooting for the Aruvi Hindi remake.
In an interview At this point to the Times of India, Fatima said, "I can just say that it is a very interesting subject and a very interesting film. It is about this girl and her journey. Frankly, I haven’t picked up this film thinking if it is based on my character or not. I am only focusing on the fact that I have to play the part with full honesty. As an actor, I can only work towards doing the role diligently. I hope people like it. I am so glad this project has come to me as there are very few projects where you feel ki yaar yeh toh mujhe hi karna hai. After watching the film I felt that I want to be a part of this project. I know what I am getting into. Even though this is a remake I am sure there will be some freshness introduced to it and I will do my best to add in my own flavor too.”
