Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur says he wants to dedicate his film Paani to Sushant Singh Rajput if it ever gets made

There is no doubt that all of Bollywood and its fans are still in mourning after Sushant Singh Rajput 's death. The actor was found dead in his Bandra home on June 14 after he committed suicide. The actor seemingly killed himself after facing difficulties in Bollywood as an outsider. Sushant was also set to appear in many films which later got shelved due to various reasons and issues.

One such film was Paani by Shekhar Kapur. The Filmmaker chose to cast Sushant as the film's lead but it later got shelved. Recently the Filmmaker took to Twitter to reveal that he wants to dedicate Paani to Sushant Singh Rajput. The Filmmaker said that if the film ever gets made he will pay homage to his actor friend. He wrote, "If you want to journey with the Gods or your creativity, you have to walk each step in devotion. In humility. God willing #Paani will get made one day. If it does, I will dedicate it to Sushant. But it has to be made with partners that walk in humility, not in arrogance."

Fans of the actor quickly took to Twitter to encourage Shekhar Kapur to make the film anyway. One user wrote, "Dear Shekhar Sir, why not use crowdfunding as an alternative? Will be a tight slap on the production houses and those who thought they run the show."

"Shekhar, there are many well-educated people in India and overseas who'd love to support your most ambitious project if dedicated to #SushantSinghRajput. Idea: What if the budget for this entire movie were raised via crowdfunding? Screw big producers. It's doable - think abt it," another fan wrote.
