The second part of Nishikant Kamat's Drishyam, a replica of the same-titled Malayalam film, has already begun production. Drishyam, starring Ajay Devgn and Shriya Saran, told the tale of a Goan middle-class family who, in an effort to protect their children, turned into criminals. But Vijay Salgaonkar, who will do anything to protect his family, leads the Goa cops on a wild goose hunt before successfully disguising the entire incident to escape punishment. Even when the skeletons in the closet were concealed, they remained there. The sequel reportedly centers on what occurs when Vijay Salgaonkar must once more face reality.
Due to the pandemic, Drishyam 2 in Malayalam was released on Amazon Prime on February 19, 2021. This year, the Hindi movie Shriya Saran, starring Ajay Devgn, will release its second part. Today saw the release of the movie's first look poster, which portrayed the Salgaonkar family—Vijay Salgaonkar, his wife Nandini, and their daughters Anju and Anu—hiding evidence. The Salgaonkar family is shown in the poster with their backs to the camera, Ajay clutching a shovel, Ishita Dutta, who plays his daughter, holding a long iron rod, and Mrunal Jadhav, who plays his younger daughter, carrying a CD. Along with the image, the producers also revealed that the "Recall Teaser" would be released tomorrow, September 29. The teaser is supposed to bring back to the audience's memory what happened in the first part.
Drishyam 2 is presented by Viacom18 Studios, T-Series, and Panorama Studios. Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kumar are the producers. Rockstar DSP composed the music and the original score (Devi Sri Prasad). Drishyam 2, which also features Tabu as Meera Deshmukh and is directed by Abhishek Pathak, is scheduled for a November 18, 2022, theatrical debut.
