After the success of Baahubali, many filmmakers are opting to do historic period flicks as they realized that these films have a wide appeal. Thus, we got films like Padmaavat, Panipat, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, and Mamangam. Not all of them were super-hits and some of them failed miserably at the box-office.
Now, yet another historic period flick is coming up to test its luck at the box office. It is Malayalam epic war drama Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham, which is being directed by acclaimed filmmaker Priyadarshan. Star hero Mohanlal is playing the lead role in this movie. The film has completed its shoot and is currently in the post-production stages.
Kickstarting the promotions, the makers have decided to unveil the character posters from now on. Thus, they have released the first look of heroine Keerthy Suresh from the film. The National Award-winning actress might be playing a village-belle role in the film if we go by her costumes. The sources claimed that she got a meaty role in the movie.
Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham also featured many other prominent actors like Manju Warrier, Suneil Shetty, Arjun Sarja and Prabhu. The team is planning to release the movie on March 26, 2020.
