Following "Thunivu" with filmmaker H Vinoth, Ajith will begin filming "AK 62," which is slated to be helmed by Vignesh Shivan. According to reports, the movie's pre-production work is ongoing, although there is a rumor that director and actor Gautham Vasudev Menon will be in the cast. However, the "Venthu Thanindhathu Kaadu" director made it clear in a recent interview that Vignesh Shivan has not yet asked him to portray the villain opposite Ajith. According to reports, he further stated that, given the chance, he would like to play the villain.
In the interview, Gautham Menon said that he and Vignesh Shivan have a strong friendship and that as of right now, they haven't talked about "AK 62." Gautham Menon allegedly added that he would be ready if given the chance to portray an antagonist because the role would excite him.
In the same interview, filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon also expressed a desire to collaborate with Vijay in the near future. He claimed that he has long intended to work with Vijay, but as of right now, nothing is planned.
