Gautham Menon is one of the most busiest directors during the lockdown. From releasing a short film to directing several portions in anthologies, Gautham Menon decided to use the lockdown productively. In a recent interview, director Gautham Menon opened up about one of his favourite projects Yogan with actor Vijay, which was shelved due to creative differences. Speaking in detail about Yogan, Gautham Menon said that the film is essentially a spy thriller which is set in a foreign country. Earlier, he revealed that Vijay did not want to do the film at that point in his career.
The film's story is about a young man in his 20s who loses his girlfriend in an aircraft explosion. Later, he hunts the men who helped people put together the bomb and takes them down. He then goes on to join the CIA to become a brilliant agent. Though Vijay liked the idea of the story, he did not want to do the film is the 2010s as he was choosing one mass project after the other at that time. Gautham Menon is hopeful of doing a film with Thalapathy Vijay in the coming years. We will have to wait and see if Vijay would agree to another script for Gautham in the near future.
