Gautham Vasudev Menon To Start Working On Kamal Haasan's Vettaiyadu Vailaiyaadu Sequel

The last time Kamal Haasan was on screen was in Lokesh Kanagaraj's movie "Vikram." The film was a box office success and was a spinoff of the 1986 Kamal Haasan movie of the same name. The actor is currently revitalizing the sequel to his 1996 movie "Indian." The production of "Indian 2" has begun; Shankar will helm the film, which will start rolling on August 22.

According to reports, the sequel to the movie "Vettaiyadu Vilaiyaadu," directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, was announced in 2020. Anushka Shetty and Keerthy Suresh were reportedly considered for the roles of the movie's female leads. In a recent video that has gone popular on social media, Gautham Vasudev Menon reportedly said that the 120-page script for "Vettaiyadu Vilayadu 2" had been finished and that production would start on schedule. Although the director, 2020 originally declared that he would be helming the follow-up to the 2008 film Vettaiyaadu Vilayadu which starred Kamal Haasan and Jyothika in the key roles, it hasn't been picked up in the past two years. The director has not yet officially confirmed whether he has ideas for the sequel.
