Ghostbusters: Afterlife: New Ghostbuster film seems to have taken a new approach to the 80s hit alongside some old strings.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife will bring back some of its original star cast in Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver and Annie Potts.
Sony's latest attempt at the Ghostbusters franchise is now named Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Jason Reitman, who is the son of the original Ghostbusters film director, has directed this new film.
The trailer that had released recently promises a new smaller outing. This time the story revolves around that of a single mom who arrives in a small town with her two kids. The kids soon discover that there is something unusual about the town as there are disturbances below the ground. The trailer hides most of its ghosts but leaves the fans with the promise of bringing back some old classics. The kids discover a bunch of old gadgets as the trailer progresses.
The film's cast also includes Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, and Annie Potts. Ant-Man star Paul Rudd plays a science teacher in the film and also makes an appearance multiple times throughout the trailer.
This film has been a long time coming but got delayed because of scheduling issues with Murray. The film is now slated to release on July 10, 2020.
