Godfather is Chiranjeevi's new film has been released in Hindi and Telugu. The film carried a good buzz thanks to the last-minute promotions by the makers. Salman Khan's presence has also helped the film.
The Telugu version has taken a solid start and as the weekend is on, the collections are steady the first weekend today is going to be quite impressive as per the trade. In Hindi too, the film has taken off in the last day or so.
As word of mouth has spread on a positive note, the distributors have added 600 screens in various parts of the country from today onwards. As of now, Godfather is playing close to 3500 screens in India wide which is huge for a Telugu film. Also, Salman Khan's fans have owned this film and as there is no other Hindi biggie, Godfather has got some solid advantage.
The team is planning to fly to Mumbai in the next few days and intensify the promotions. Mohan Raja has directed this film which has Nayanthara and Satyadev in key roles. Thaman has scored the music for this film.
