Bollywood film industry is the place for one of the best collaborations. Gulabo Sitabo is one such film that features Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead roles. Gulabo Sitabo is an unreleased Indian family comedy-drama film directed by Shoojit Sircar. The film is in the discussions now as the release date of the movie got confirmed. Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar produce the film. Juhi Chaturvedi is the film's writer. Set in Lucknow, it stars Amitabh Bachchan and Ayushmann Khurrana and the movie is skipping the theatrical released. Amazon Prime grabbed the film's rights for premiering the film globally on its platform.
In May 2019, the project announcement has come. The makers shot the movie in Lucknow and finished it in less time. In June, they began the shoot. The first look impressed everyone. The makers scheduled the release of the movie on April 17th this year and it did not happen because of the lockdown. Hence, the makers inked a deal with Amazon Prime for the film's release on the OTT platform. It will now release on 12th June on Amazon Prime Video.
Eponymous glove puppet characters, Gulabo and Sitabo are from Uttar Pradesh and are very popular in Lucknow city.
