GV Prakash is set to begin filming Mu Maran's next film in early November. The film will be a suspense drama with elements of black comedy.
Maran, who made his debut with the mystery thriller Iravukku Aayiram Kangal and has collaborated with Udhayanidhi Stalin on the crime thriller Kannai Nambathey, says, "I've worked with writers Suba and have a soft spot for crime novels." As a result, suspense and its associated elements have always been my favorite genre. But this time, I'm also going for black comedy."
For the past six months, Maran has been working on the script. "I wanted an actor who looked like a kid next door." The audience should sympathize with him when he gets into trouble. "I thought GV would be a good fit," he says, adding, "He plays a local boy who works for a big shot." There are two parallel stories that intersect at the point where the protagonist's story begins. We are working on GV's body language and voice modulation to make this character stand out because he has previously played a local paiyyan in films."
Imman will compose music for the film, which also stars Srikanth. "The film has only one song, but that song and the RR segment will be the highlights." "Imman also thought it would be fun to compose for a suspense thriller," he says, adding, "The story is set in Coimbatore, and we will be shooting in Chennai and Coimbatore."
