Director UR Jameel’s Maha marks Hansika Motwani’s 50th film. Back in February, there was an official announcement that the film has been wrapped up. However, director Jameel said that there are nine days of shooting left. He also filed a petition against the producer accusing them of hiring a new team to complete the rest of the film. In his petition, he sought for an interim stay on the film. The film features Hansika and Simbu in lead roles.

The statement from Mathiyazhagan from Etcetera Entertainment read, “There are talks in social media and other online media that the movie Maha has not been completed and an order of stay has been ordered by the Hon'ble Madras High Court. The said news is fake and baseless. While there have been some tiny issues brought up by the director and subsequently the director approached the Madras High Court and filed a case to stop the release of the film. The said case came up for hearing on 13/05/2021 and the Hon'ble Court did not grant an order of stay of the film. The said case came up for hearing on 19/05/2021 and no order of stay of releasing the film Maha has been granted by the Hon'ble Madras High Court and adjourned the case to June 1st week.”
