Happy Birthday Lee Min-Ho: From The Heirs To Boys Over Flowers, Here's Looking At Some Of His Best Performances

Lee Min-ho is one of the most popular South Korean actors of this generation. While he always had a huge fan base in South Korea, his popularity has grown with time in India as well. And as this charming actor celebrates his 34th birthday today, go through some of his best performances in these K-dramas and films.

The Heirs (2013)
The Heirs or Inheritors is the most popular K-drama that Lee Min-ho starred in. His rich-lover boy image in the show swayed the hearts of many. "After a chance encounter in LA, two teens from different social backgrounds reunite at an exclusive high school attended by Korea's über rich," its synopsis reads. Apart from Lee Min-Ho, The Heirs also starred Park Shin-Hye and Kim Woo-bin. This twenty-episode-long K-drama is available for streaming on Netflix.

Boys Over Flowers (2009)

Lee Min-ho rose to fame with this K-drama from the early years of his career. Boys Over Flowers has everything – high school drama, love, friendship, etc, along with a cinderella-esque story. Lee Min-ho plays Gu Jun-Pyo, a haughty heir to the Shinhwa empire who falls for a feisty girl played by Gu Hye-sun. Another reason for which this drama remains special is for its OST. Songs like Stand By Me, My Everything, and Something Happened To My Heart have lasted the test of time and will make you listen to them on loop. This twenty-five-episode-long drama is available for streaming on Netflix.

Gangnam Blues (2015)
This South Korean film starring Lee Min-ho along with Kim Rae-won is the story of two homeless brother-like-friends who end up in different gangs and later on lock horns with each other. This film is believed to be one of the best performances of the actor since he was seen in a different role compared to the ones he had done earlier.
Legend Of The Blue Sea (2016)
A fairy-tale romance brewed between a human and a mermaid who is rebounded by time. Legend Of The Blue Sea starring Lee along with Jun Ji-Hyun is renewed for a second season which is most likely to release next year. The show has some extraordinary comedy timing between the lead actors. You can stream this twenty-episode-long K-drama on Netflix.
The King: Eternal Monarch (2020)
This is the most recent K-drama of Lee Min-ho that aired on Netflix. The show is a period drama featuring a king Lee-Gon but also flashes into the present world with a time-travel backdrop.
