One of the filmmakers who struggled hard and is now amongst A-list directors is Sampath Nandi. From graduating in pharmacy to becoming a director, Sampath Nandi's journey is nothing short of an interesting story. He is celebrating his 40th birthday today. On this occasion, here is a look back into his career.
Sampath Nandi was born in the village Odela of Karimnagar district. He was a graduate in pharmacy. After completing his graduation, Sampath joined as an assistant to Posani Krishna Murali. Meanwhile, he also used to work for ad-films in Mumbai.
Sampath made his directorial debut with the 2010 film Yemaindi Ee Vela. Starring Varun Sandesh and Nisha Aggarwal in the lead roles, this film became a sleeper hit at the box office. That success gave a chance for Sampath to work with Ram Charan. The duo had collaborated for Sampath's second directorial venture Racha. Tamannaah played the female lead in it. Racha was also successful at the box office. Sampath's third directorial film was the 2015 action drama Bengal Tiger. Starring Ravi Teja, Tamannaah and Raashi Khanna in the lead roles, this movie became a commercial success. Sampath then came up with Gautam Nanda in 2017. It featured Gopichand, Hansika, and Catherine Tresa as the leads. This action thriller failed to succeed at the box office. The director is now busy with the works of his next film Seetimaarr. Gopichand and Tamannaah are playing the lead roles in it. The film is aiming for a release towards the end of this year.
