Asif Ali is one of Malayali's all-time favorite actors. Asif came to the cinema from a family with no film tradition, and he became a favorite of the audience in a very short time. Now, the interview given to Cannes media about his early experiences in the film is going viral on social media.
“I am one of the few people who have come to be known as a film actor but have no money at all. When I came to the cinema in 2013, it was as if a Malayalam movie script was written for me. I came at almost the correct time. After Chakochan, Prithvi, Indrajith, Jayasuriya, and others, I sat alone on the back bench. Whoever transfers from the front bench will get the back bench,” said Asif Ali. He said that he has never had to struggle for any film.
“Whoever on the front bench rejected the film, the film would have reached me. In my early days, I made up to seven films in a year. That is not possible today," he added. But he said that at that time he did not know which film to choose, and therefore he did all the films he could get.
