Kalidas Jayaram says that he has never dreamed that he would be able to act in a film directed by Pa Ranjith. Kalidas Jayaram was speaking at the audio launch of the film Natchathiram Nagargirathu in Chennai the other day. Kalidas Jayaram added that when "Madras" came out, he searched for Ranjith's number and called him to talk about a film for a long time.
“I cannot believe that I acted in a movie of Pa Ranjith sir. The movie "Madras" came out when I was studying at Wiscom. After watching that movie, I searched for Ranjith Sir's number and found it and called him. He didn't even know who I was. But he talked about the film for a long time. I never dreamed that I would act in his films later. I feel very happy. Thank you, Ranjith Sir, for giving me the opportunity. My character's name in the movie is Iniyan. This character is like my real-life character. I am sure everyone will like it. I believe many people will be able to relate to my character after watching the film,” said Kalidas.
Natchathiram Nagargirathu, directed by Pa Ranjith, starring Kalidas Jayaram, is releasing on August 31st. The film comes with the tagline "Love is politics. Dushara Vijayan is the heroine. Kalai Arasan is playing another central character. The film also stars Harikrishnan, Vinod, Shabir Kallarakal, Regine Rose, Damu and others in other important roles.
This is the film that Pa Ranjith is preparing after the movie 'Sarpatta Parambarai. Natchathiram Nagargirathu has been jointly produced by P.Ranjith's own Neelam Productions and Yazhi Films.
