Today, a lot of events took place in movies at the International Film Festival of India. Among all of them, a Masterclass titled "Master's Social Perspective" by filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar and critic Taran Adarsh stands out as the best. The event took place from 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm at Maquinez Palace 1 where both the prominent personalities opened up on some interesting things.
Way before that, Taran Adarsh asked Siddarth Roy Kapoor, "For aspiring filmmakers, what is the easy genre one should start from?" and he replied saying, "A slapstick comedy done well always works. Horror & thriller strikes a chord with the audience even without stars. Family drama & light comedy is the hardest."
Coming back to the masterclass, both Madhur Bhandarkar, as well as Taran Adarsh, shared some important aspects.
“I thought I need to make films that have my conviction, films that I am responsible for, and with this thought, Chandanibar was born. I want to show what happens in real life, not the reel life. I feel the audience has changed now and therefore filmmakers are pushing to take cinema to the next level” revealed the Padma Sri awardee Madhur Bhandarkar in his masterclass.
